The main goal of Arathi Basin (AB) is for you and your team-mates to reach 2k ‘resources’ before the enemy does. You can read how many resources your team has at the top of the screen.
Resources are given to each team that has nodes. say you have only 2 nodes you will only get 2 nodes worth of resources, more nodes you have more resources you will recieve, less nodes less resources etc.
You recieve a good amount of honor and exp per win for Arathi Basin (AB) depending on your level etc. It's best to run AB during "call to arms" weekend for the most exp and honor. By utilizing some basic strategies, your organized (or semi-organized) group will be able to reduce the time it takes to win a match, and increasing your overall honor per hour.
Theres a couple strategies that you can use in arathi basin that work pretty well if done correctly. The "Tight 4-Cap" is the most conservative, to be used against strong opposition. The next is the Soft 3-Cap which is a standard opening if you feel like your team has a slight advantage. Lastly, the 5-Cap is my standard opening when you have a fully organized group against a PUG, or poorly balanced opponent. 5-cap will ultimately win you the game in a matter of a couple minutes and some seconds so its best to 5 cap if you can. The soft 3-cap is the most used strategy by players capping the 3 nodes and defending them. The tight 4-cap can be used if players are strong and can defend their nodes well, leaving your enemy to spawn only at one place.
